Clearly, you do not 'get' the theme of this sobering reminder...that a lot of republicans are acting like spoiled brats that, the minute they see the game not going good,according to their rules, pick up their marbles in a snit and run home to mama or perhaps your reading comprehension was turned off...

You misunderstand.

Most Bush supporters would love to discuss illegal immigration, and share their concern over the seriousness of it, but wouldn't come near an immigration thread with a ten foot pole because of the vitriol against the President and us on them. (And resent that immigration trolls invade every single thread whether the subject is on topic or not)

You can see how thoughtful and concerned Bush supporters are on the subject if you find the handful of threads where it's discussed without rancor.

We have, in essence, been shut out of the discussion, other than the handful of us who are either brave or crazy, and battle through the attacks to get our points across.

Yes, it's the vitriol that gets to them. When I came on this thread and said Bush is a nice fellow but I wish he took immigration more seriously, the vitriol of those words nearly left them speechless, poor dears. They almost dropped their knitting needles.
