I have apologized for, and taken personal responsibility for the things I have said on this thread. Even though you admittedly 'pushed my buttons' with your blasphemy against the Lord, I have admitted that I should not have said what I did.

You may be a conservative in some ways, but not morally. And your out of control anger is not a conservative trait.

Now.......I have a real life, with a real family, and I have good conservative, activists friends on this forum who are respectful, decent and kind.

If you don't mind, I prefer to limit my 'debate' to like minded conservatives with a fundamental respect for others.

I once again apologize for things I said about you on this forum. Your deliberately inciting them is no excuse for my saying things I shouldn't have said.

Note that I'm as angry at the current immigration debacle as anyone else. The thing is, I can see the forest instead of embedding my schnoz in the bark of one tree like a woodpecker, so I can see that it is a black mark on an otherwise outstanding record. And I can also clearly see how screwed we will be if the Dems win the House and/or White House in the next two years, and I see how whining about the President is not going to help us keep the House, and may help us lose it.

If you also see that, we have no beef. If you don't, then enjoy your sense of grievance and don't even think of coming crying to me when you get a load of Speaker Pelosi's immigration proposal.

I never said you were insane or unconservative, so your blather about me placing a bet with you is irrelevant. All I did was ask you a question, and you've been tap-dancing like Gregory Hines ever since. How in the world am I supposed to believe you have a strong policy position if you dodge a simple question? I am still willing at this moment to answer yours if you answer mine, but I think you'll keep tap-dancing instead.

So here's a little advice:

If I were you, I'd hit the silk before those flames get to the main fuel tank. Enjoy the kimchee. I'm going to go find my crew chief and have him paint another red star under the canopy rail.

Oh......and don't expect an answer. The answer is that no one expected that we would have successfully avoided another attack after 9/11 for nearly five years..........but to say that would require an admission that President Bush has been successful and a strong leader, and that just can't be done by some of our stubborn, hostile, Bush-is-a-moron gripers around here.

They are exactly what they accuse US of being..........blinded by their own emotions, unable to look objectively at what has truly happened in this country.......and completely unwilling to admit that they are wrong when forced into a corner.

Chalk it up as a victory for the good guys, Mr. Silverback. You won that battle and emerged without a scratch. Kudos! :)

Yeah, I give up. They don't fight in the realm of the real, just whatever comes off the the of the head. It is always possible to be morally superior if you just ignore the other sides arguments and refuse any requests for tangible evidence.
