That is a BS argument, I have been to, or organized many, many of these things, all over the East Coast. Why don't they say it is nice and important, but I have better things to do with my time, the kids soccer, dance class, weight watchers.

How nice for you to have conquered your passions. But some people really can't mix it up in close quarters with audaciously provocative leftie nutjobs without losing control. They are wise to know their limitations so that violence does not occur, in accordance with the DC Chapter guidelines.
That said, there are many very peaceful but essential and FReeps which are very important to the troops and their families, and that could certainly use the support of more FReepers (temper or no temper) such as those every Friday night at 7:00 at Walter Reed.
