Tancredo Wins String of Conservative Awards
WASHINGTON, D.C. Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-Littleton) recently won four awards for his support of lower taxes, less government spending and other conservative causes. Tancredo received the U.S. Chamber of Commerces Spirit of Enterprise Award, the National Taxpayers Unions Friend of the Taxpayer Award, the American Conservative Unions Best and Brightest for his 100 percent conservative rating, and the Susan B. Anthony Lists Protection of the Unborn Award.Do you have such "damaged goods" to show for yourself? No? I thought not. Stop attacking the messenger. The Sixth District sent me to Congress to reduce the size of government, lower taxes, protect the unborn and secure our borders, said Tancredo. I am humbled and honored by the wide array of conservative organizations that have recognized my work.
Tom is a leader who has fought for legislation to spur job creation, increase productivity and keep our economy growing. said Thomas J. Donohue, U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO. Were proud to present him with this award on behalf of Americas businesses, both large and small. The U.S. Chamber is the world's largest business federation, representing more than three million businesses and organizations of every size, sector and region.
If every Member of Congress had voted as responsibly as Rep. Tancredo did in 2005, Americans could enjoy much lower taxes and less waste in government. Overburdened taxpayers in Colorado and across the nation owe Rep. Tancredo a debt of gratitude for his hard work on their behalf, said John Berthoud, President of the National Taxpayers Union.
You're not making sense.
