Without strong, moral leadership, without a renewed sense of purpose, without a rededication to family and community, without shunning the race hustlers and pop-culture sham artists, without protecting borders, language and culture, the nation that once was "the land of the free and home of the brave" and the "one last best hope of mankind" will repeat the catastrophic mistakes of the past, he writes.
A scathing review with details about how wrong he is would be most welcome.

Tancredo's spiel contains a not so subtle appeal to racists, bigots and white supremacists everywhere. He's demagoguing the immigration issue in order to strut about on the national stage.
It won't be long before the Democrats begin to paint him as a typical member of the Republican Party, in much the same way that Republicans have painted Dean and Pelosi to retain moderate voters, at which point he will become a big liability to Republican chances in future federal elections.
Tancredo has caught the wave of American protectionism (never far from the surface) which he hopes will lead him to a position of power and influence. He should form his own Party rather than embarking on a course that could split the Republican Party, as Ross Perot did before him.
If not stopped, Tancredo just might give Hitlery the edge she needs to be President in 2008.
