Its a plea deal not amnesty the words are not interchangeable. I think plea deal sells. I explained it that way to someone today and they changed their mind. Perhaps It will get picked up by Snow(Your Welcome if your watching)

You can call it whatsoever your little heart desires to call it. I'll continue calling it amnesty because that's what I see it as.
Besides, only the guilty get offered or accept plea bargains.
BTW...is this "plea deal" being offered to a large group of people?
amnesty: the act of an authority (as a government) by which pardon is granted to a large group of individuals
I suggest you look up the word pardon.
