OOOPS how about those church officials getting nailed for messing with the little boys? Was there a backlash or support? Think about that for a minute.
To: Spiff; sinkspur
The further and faster sinkspur swirls down the drain, the louder he screams and bawls about the efforts of rock-ribbed conservatives like Tancredo, Coulter, and Malkin. The fact that he is obsessed with them shows that he knows they are winning the debate--and in a highly effective fashion.
To: sinkspur
He allowed himself to get manuevered into a situation in which he would advocate using a nuclear weapon against the prime religious symbol of over a billion people. He advocated nothing.

I did not say they have no voice in politics. I said they have no moral authority and no leadership authority in US politics as the founding fathers intended. There is no state church.
If you want your church leadership to tell you what to do and think, that's your right.
You have no right forcing the policies and politics of your church on others.

Why...I bet you hate Tancredo so much you would even go and vote for Hillary to avoid voting for him.
I bet he'd struggle mightily for a whole ten seconds before pulling that lever for Cankles.

Are you one of those gringos I've been hearing about? I thought I was one, but after reading descriptions of how lazy they are, what lousy work they do, and how expensive they are, I suspect the word actually means "union worker."

If Iran bombs us then we bomb Iran. Notice the difference between a terrorist entity and the State Known today as Iran. See where that differs?
Mutually assured destruction worked and contrary to the going flack it will work against those of the muslim faith if they understand that Mecca is on the line if they do this as a non state actor.

Thank you for your comments. People love to sling the word "hate" around; usually said very hatefully.

Sorry the rest of the gang had to get you out of bed for this. They must have felt they were losing quite badly. Just wondering. Who is coming up next? There are only a couple of you left. Remember to play the game strategically.

I think Tancredo would be a great selection for POTUS. His biggest plus is he believes in the sovereignty of this great Nation. That is more than what can be said for most Republicans and Democrats. They appear ready to sell this country out to the highest bidder.

If you think the Christian right is going let the Catholic Church's voice shut down on political issues you are crazy.

The public at large favors the rule of law. When it is explained in that context people are full well ready to accept it. If you start arresting Catholic bishops for not turning illegals into the cops, you're going to take a whipping by the public. They won't stand for it.

Arresting clergy is never a good thing for public relations.
This country is being invaded. I don't give a flying F about public relations.

You can thin sending a nuke back is stupid but I will say quite clearly that if we are nuked we DAMN WELL BETTER be sending one back and it BETTER be for keeps!
After all that IS their purpose. What is stupid is to claim that it was said or meant in terms other than the context in which it was said.
When you have to resort to that it shows that you cannot argue it on its merits.
To: BlueStateDepression
Oh great we bomb mecca then they bomb the Vatican. Yeah this seems reasonable.

The vast majority of his career has been on the public payroll."
And just how does that invalidate his opinion?
