Building up known interests is nothing new - the problem is having leverage against companies that were nice all along, and then suddenly do something bad out of the blue. I'm sure that Ford's management from 50 years ago never could have dreamed the way today's executives operate.

No doubt. Though I've long had a feeling that maybe Ford started out with some "bad seed," somehow. Not sure why I've felt that way.

I see now. I don't think that an investment group is the answer. I suppose that we should first look at what's causing the problem if we hope to provide an effective remedy. The problem is rooted in the fact that liberals have worked to gain influence with large companies and their effort has gone largely unchallenged.

The good news is that we're larger in number and resources and most of America shares our view in these matters. This is a subject that merits a thread of its own as we'd need to discuss and discover how they've managed to gain so much influence. Then it's simply a matter of using those same methods.

The challenge would be discussing it on a micro level rather than simply writing it off to large things that can't be readily fixed (they control the media, the universities, and so on). For example, I know that they made an organized effort to become members of corporate boards and have gained influence in that way.
