I live just outside the Seattle city limits, which means I have narrowly avoided having to abide by their insane recycling laws and associated penalties for infractions. Recycling is a fraud.

You are not only benefiting from being out of the evil and poisonous reach of the Marxist / Socialist Seattle City Council but you also have more hours in the day available for living your life the way you want to because you don't have to futz around with multiple bins of TRASH cluttering up your home.  Has there ever been a serious study showing clear economic benefits of recycling on a citywide scale of a population of a million plus?  I haven't heard of one.  The only cost analyses that I've seen show recycling on a large, citywide scale costing more than it saves.
