Clinton Reveals Her iPod Playlist
NEW YORK -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has joined the iPod generation.
Motown tunes, classical music and the Rolling Stones are all on Clinton's iPod playlist, she told the New York Post for Monday editions.
"I've got everything -- a total smorgasbord," Clinton said.
Songs from the 58-year-old senator's youth figure heavily in the selection of about 1,000 songs, said Clinton, calling herself "a child of the '60s and '70s."
The mix includes Aretha Franklin's "Respect," The Beatles' "Hey Jude" and "Take it to the Limit" by the Eagles, she said.
Clinton, a possible presidential candidate in 2008 who is running for re-election to the Senate this year, said her favorite time to listen to the device is when she's following up on paperwork at home.
She received the white player as a birthday gift from her husband, former President Bill Clinton, she said.
I have no doubt that every selection was carefully focused grouped and balance was given to various demographics according to polling data.
Everything in this woman's life is scripted for public consumption.
I guess this is supposed to equate to the Slick one playing his sax on TV.
I would have thought Don McLean's "Vincent".
Who knew?
You nailed it !!
She's gotta have the Beatles' "Taxman" on there.
And when she sings along, she means it!
Refrain
Die Heimat ist weit,
Doch wir sind bereit.
Wir kämpfen und siegen für sie :
Freiheit !
Ernst Busch, 1938
Our home's far away,
but we are prepared.
We're fignting and winning for you,
Freedom!
The Fascist doesn't scare us,
Shooting bullets thick as hail.
With us stand comrades withoug equal,
And a backwards look is not for us.
Sound the drums! Fix bayonets!
Forward, march! Victory is our reward.
With our red flag, smash their column.
Charge, Thälmann Battalion!
Note: The Thälmann Battalion, one of the "International Brigades" orginized by the Communist International to fight on the side of the Spanish Republic against the "Nationalists" led by Francisco Franco, was named for Ernst Thälmann, the pre-World War II leader of the German Communist Party, who was murdered by the Nazis at Buchenwald in 1944.
GMTA (see my posts above). Kinda makes you wonder if this iPod was bought "hot" off of eBay or some such site, where people sell their iPodsa already "loaded"?!
How pathetically boring...
You may have guessed I'm not a big Queen fan.
How about "Baby Got Back" or "Back that Thang Up"
the hildabeast is from lebanon?!
I guess if she follows in bills footsteps we could get impeachment on the heels of her lying about what her and Helen Thomas were doing in the oval office together... could always have the blue thong as exhibit A...
EWWWWW the horror.
How about Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls" and Spinal Tap's "Big Bottom".
"You cheated, you lied"
"You ain't nuthin'but a hound dog"
One thing for certain, no Kate Smith singing "God Bless America"
