I think there is still enough sensibility in America to react with authority if we ever see video on the Nightly News of Christians being arrested for saying a prayer at a graduation ceremony.

As one who used to work at a local TV station (WREG-Memphis) you would be surprised at what DOESN'T get aired. (or maybe you wouldn't)

I am proud to be from Kentucky; our students, whatever their other faults, have a history of ignoring teachers, judges, and other secularists when it comes to prayer in high school and college graduations.

The people can take back any power that they have given to the government. Something the judge in this case probably has a problem understanding.

No court order can ever work against a determined populace.

I'd be pissed if my graduation turned into a religious revival. OTOH, the only reason it happened was because of the attempted censorship.

On Friday, May 19, Judge Joseph H. McKinley, Jr., in a short three-sentence temporary restraining order, barred Russell County High School and senior Megan Chapman from including prayer at the graduation scheduled later that day.

This judge should be impeached yesterday. Not even the ACLU filed to stop Megan Chapman from saying a prayer. It was the judge who took it upon himself to illegally try to stop her from saying a prayer. This judge should never hold a gavel again.

BTW - here's a good one if you want to get back at the anti-Christians. Ask them why a week has seven days? It's completely Biblical. The Lord God took six days to create everything and rested on the seventh, thus giving us a seven day week.

Sure they can outlaw displays of the 10 Commandments in public buildings, they can get rid of Crosses on public lands, they can take "God" off of our currency, but how are they gonna get rid of the seven day week.

Drives them to fits.

My daughter's graduation from the local public high school last Friday evening started off with an honor graduate leading the attendees packed into our football stadium in an invocation prayer giving thanks to God the Father through His Son Jesus with all the folks standing, heads bowed, and vociferously amening at the end, followed by the pledge of allegiance and singing of the National Anthem by all involved.

I never felt so blessed to live in such a great community. I feel sad for those too intimidated to demand such opportunities. - OB1
