I doubt it. Americans will sit back and watch American Idol and never give it a thought.
This happened in Europe. 80% of Germans wanted to keep the DM, and for good reason. But the Euro was simply crammed down their throats, especially by big business, the banks, investors and politicians. The real reason was not the nonsense about exchanges rates, but about spreading the economic miseries of weak states to Germany, and creating a power currency to challenge the Dollar.
They'll probably start to wake up about the time that they sing to that accordion music in the finals...
