I agree -- Republicans should come out and explain WHy it's important to do what we are doing, instead of letting the international and domestic terrorist-lovers and terrorist-protectors define how to fight the War on Terror.
"They (the left) are against the war because they do not want to see victory by the American military. They are against the war in line with how theyve been critical of America during countless yesterdays and will continue to be critical for untold tomorrows. This is who they are and what they do. "

Hitting nail on the head!
Democratic victory in November = AQ victory in November
My question: why isn't the RNC blitzing the media with this message now?
Every time the Democrats expose how the administration is fighting the war on terror, Republicans become defensive and hide for cover as if we are doing something wrong.
Criticizing the 'Rats is not part of the "New Tone". Keep drinking the koolaid.
A clear the bases--home run! Nicely done!
"Rats only "think" and respond to emotional "thinking". Trying logic on them is a waste of time. Put a proverbial gun to their heads and make them vote on the record EVERY DAY, so we can watch it on the news.
bttt
Well, IMHO, if the pubbies DID do that, the dems would come back with talking points something like:
"Well we wouldn't have to do all this domestic spying and snooping into American citizen's private constitutional protected rights, and all this Homeland Security stuff, if Bush wouldn't have lied to the American people about WMD so he could fight his neo-con war, and make us hated all over the world so we NOW have to spy on law abiding US citizens....blah,blah,yada,yada,etc.....
This is the issue plainly stated. This is one of the best things I have ever read on the fight in this war.
Didn't John Kerry have a plan?
First no media would cooperate, even Fox has this propensity to offset everything said with an opposing moron from the left. Second, this administration has decided use its "earned political capital" for immigration instead of the things promised like SS reform. Like most elected politicians its more important to retain power than fight for a cause that is perceived as not popular. They are playing not to lose instead of doing their Jobs. .....The 17th amendment has got to go!....and the 16th
I'm going to carry copies of this wonderful article and hand it out when appropriate.
But the voters would understand...
The Republicans and the Administration should stop playing defense and learn that the "best defense is an offense" and they have plenty they can tell the American people.
Tell people how successful some of the programs have been and how damaging it is to have it blabbed all over the map by the Dems and the media, and tell the American people straight out, that the Dems are putting their lives in danger.
Remember the Republicans had that great ad on the web with the Dems own words about how weak they are on terror, but within a week, they pulled it. They should play it again -- ON TV.

awesome
It is easy to portray oneself as a champion of civil liberties during time of war when one knows that while pontificating the high road his safety is still guaranteed since the adults in power will not listen to juvenile cliches and will continue doing the sensible things that must be done to protect Americans.
Bullseye. The only thing is that its hard to credit the Republicans with doing a good job on Homeland Security when our Southern Border is out of control. Sometimes I think its just dumb luck that we haven't been hit post 911.
