Ebola is not air borne(so far) but it is deadly contagious if you come in contact with the blood or vomit of the victim.

Yes it is. The Reston strain (the third one discovered) is airborne. Fortunately, it only kills monkeys although people have been exposed (in Reston, Virginia)

There was a time too, when AIDS only killed monkeys...

A third species, Reston Ebola virus (REBOV), was discovered in November 1989 in a group of monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) imported from the Philippines to the Hazleton Primate Quarantine Unit in Reston, Virginia (USA).

People were exposed to it. By sheer luck, we found out that it didn't kill people, but just monkeys. Otherwise a lot of us would be long dead.
