I dated a guy who had a child (that didn't live with him). I didn't mind in the least bit. When his child visited, he kept emailing me saying things like he couldn't wait for his son to go home so we could date again. That was a huge turn-off as well as a big red flag, and we broke up not long after.

Probably a good decision. It doesn't say anything good about him. The reason my relationship ended with the single mom I was seeing was because she absolutely refused to attend church with me. That's pretty much a show-stopper for me. My parents never worked that little detail out before they got married and it ended in total disaster.

Good decision. If I had to name the third strongest commandment in the Bible, it's not to be unequally yoked. It's a pattern that is echoed throughout the Old Testament as well as repeated in the New Testament. God even forced a prophet to exile his pagan wife & children (can't remember for the life of me which one that is, though), and there's also Esau and Solomon and Samson, among others.
