While I agree....maybe those things would have been effective. I also am realistic enough to realize that the bulkiness of our bureaucracy wouldn't have permitted those "simple" safeguards to be implemented.

That being said, there is no way to say...definitively that 9-11 would or wouldn't have been prevented even if they had been in place.

And that was my point....Hindsight is 15-20....but we don't have that luxury. FWIW-
