Which is why it's so important in 2008 to not select another slow witted, flat footed communications disaster

Back in 2000, I was stunned by the overwhelming support he got in the primaries. I mean, any one of the contenders, besides McCain, was a better choice.

I'm proud to say I voted against W in the primaries. I voted for him in the general election, both times, but I will never vote for another member of the Bush family as long as I live. There are few political families as perfidious and who have done as much damage to the Republican party as this one.

Yeah me too ... since I'm a New Hampshire Primary voter (a special person as per the MSM), I voted for Alan Keyes in the last two Republican primaries ('96 & 2000). OK go ahead and laugh, but I love his views on the Second Amendment and his understanding of our Constitution AND the Declaration of Independence (a forgoten political document in the US). And woe be it to the candidate who comes on stage AFTER Keyes makes his speach.

Well said. I was the same way. I read an article about Jeb Bush running in '08 and damn near went through the roof. No more Bush's in the White House--ever again.

Got to wonder what has happened to the Grand Old Party when your choices are Romney (FDR II), Guiliani (say goodbye to your guns and hello to gay teachers teaching your kids) and McCain (First amendment what first amendment?)

ditto. friend. exactly the same. i remember rushing home from work to squeeze in a vote for gwb against that vile, disgusting, social climbing, insincere, traitorous pos john kerry in 2004. and even then, i knew that the choice was: do you want to vote for a man who will rape and kill your wife in front of your precious baby daughter, or one who will kill your daughter first?

Er, because McCain *was* the other major contender. Everyone else was flyweight class.
