If FR could bring down the Rather/Mapes cabal at SeeBS, think what FR could do if it united around the concept of protecting our borders.

Come on Helen Thomas, you may be next. One can only hope.

I heard the Perky One has had Hillary Clinton as an overnight guest. Just exactly how is CBS going to claim objectivity when they hire news reader with credentials like that? Given the scurrilious rumours about Hillary's sexuality, some might be tempted to ask if they slept together. But I won't sink to that level.
(drive-by media "butter wouldn't melt in my mouth", "but *I* didn't say so" hit-piece mode)
Cheers!

Very nice. Thanks for making me smile.
To: Brilliant
That frees him up to go to CNN. Al Jazeera have also expressed interest.............

Given the scurrilious rumours about Hillary's sexuality You mean the suppressed rumours, right?
To: MindBender26
In preparation for this news, Dan has already embarked on a new career.

There were many, many indicators of forgery, including those you mention. Someone at the time had a running list of them. Not all of them panned out, but it was over 50, and it was completely overwhelming. Thanks, Buckhead.
I don't think it is too much to say that you literally helped change the course of history.
Like Frodo ;-)
Cheers!

But I won't sink to that level. I first heard about it on Howie Carr, with his weekly tv segment with Max Robbins of Broadcasting and Cable.
I didn't get that impression during the exchange, but it was back when the rumors, er, Couric/CBS rumors were really
flying, and what Couric could do for CBS. So the conflict of interest came up, given what Captain Dan did for CBS
- lowest ratings, laughing stock, sacrificed peons, etc.
BTW, can you buy home coloscopy kits? Discounts like two for one?

"Walter HATES Rather. In Dallas, Nov 22, 1963. Rather in CBS man on scene when Kennedy is shot. Rather tells the Desk in NY that Kennedy is dead. Cronkite announces prez is dead. White House calls, screaming, says he is not dead. Cronkite has to go on air and retract Rather's prez dead story. 35 minutes later, Cronkite has to go on air again and say prez REALLY dead. Cronkite looked like idiot and hated Rather for it."
I believe Dan Rather also invented the story that continued to make the rounds for years that children in a school in an upscale neighborhood cheered and celebrated when they heard Kennedy was shot. The story was completely untrue and completely spun from whole cloth.
