Religious Liberals Gain New Visibility A Different List Of Moral Issues
By Caryle Murphy and Alan Cooperman Washington Post Staff Writers Saturday, May 20, 2006; A01
The religious left is back.
Long overshadowed by the Christian right, religious liberals across a wide swath of denominations are engaged today in their most intensive bout of political organizing and alliance-building since the civil rights and anti-Vietnam War movements of the 1960s, according to scholars, politicians and clergy members.
In large part, the revival of the religious left is a reaction against conservatives' success in the 2004 elections in equating moral values with opposition to abortion and same-sex marriage.

We have religious nutjobs on the left and the right. Your screen name, unless I'm making a mistake, makes we wonder if you are a religious nutjob or just a nut job.
/Do I assume too much by you screen name?/
YOU...are making fun of my nickname...ROTFLMAO!
Of course it is. And how does one learn who God is? Answer: Through His word, the Bible. Anyone who doesn't believe God's word can not know who God is because they think that it is fiction rather than the inspired word of God. How can one have a relationship with something that he doesn't believe in?
There is a big difference between Christ/God's word and political correctness. Most liberals worship political correctness and dismiss God's word. But they claim that they believe, thinking that saying that is a "get into heaven free" card.
Well .. there's a big difference between being "religious" and being a Christian. The two are not exactly the same.
You can go to church and repeat mindless rituals - and consider yourself religious.
Or you can go to church because you have a personal relationship with Jesus, your Saviour, and Almighty God.

The leftists and the muslims, the waco's and many more know they are the ones. So who are the real believers? Who are truly 'saved'?
Are McVeigh, Ahmadinejad, Buchanan, [random hero], are they all correct?

I think your quote is wrong. It should be something like....here you go, try it your way...
Jets, wheels, roofs and water are OK. Your quote, however, is FUBAR.
Romans 10:9-10
Unless you follow the rule in that scripture, you are not born again - unless you are born again by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior - you are not "saved".
Jesus told us, NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT BY ME. The Muslims do not even recognize Jesus as the Savior.
And .. others may not agree with me .. that's fine .. this is just what I've been taught - and it is what I believe.
Deuteronomy 4:2:
You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish ought from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
God's word - the Bible. Christians are in complete consensus that the Bible is God's word. Otherwise they would not be Christians.
Don't be so positive that Muslims are sure of what they believe. Some believe that they should cut the heads off of Christians. Most do not believe this.
There are plenty of books out there that you can read "proving" God and God's word - The case for Christ and Mere Christianity are two. Get back to me after you've read them.
Prove that the Bible is not God's word.
They prate of Jesus but mean Marx.
