if they'd put in term limits like they said they would 12 years ago, the country would be a far stronger, freer republic, and we'd have been spared the spectacle of good men slowly corupted by power and the corrosive effect on ideals of trying to retain it.
I agree.
That should have been in the Constitution.
And, as funky as it might sound . . . I also think it should have been enshrined in the Constitution that those running for Federal office must be vetted first as amongst the MOST
1. HUMBLE,
2. WISE,
3. giving, and
4. servant-hearted
of all the leaders of any time in their locale.
It's long past time when the earth can well afford--certainly when our Republic can well afford to have ego-maniacs and power mongers for "public SERVANTS!"
