GOP LIB: This LIB helps GOPers by adding to their numbers, which is critically important in the Senate especially.
DEM LIB: This LIB hurts GOPerds by reducing GOP numbers.
Simply put, one of the libs makes it LESS likely Pat Leahy chairs a Dem controlled Judiciary committee, the other makes it more likely. Well duh. You'd have to be pretty thick to even have to wrestle with that one.
Gang of Fourteen, anyone?
The GOP libs need to ensure that liberal dems are always seen as a threat, because otherwise they lose their raîson d'être. Indeed, I suspect one reason many RINOs are so soft on immigration and election reform is that were it not for election fraud, the political center would be to the right of where it is now. The hard-left Democrats would still serve a purpose, but the left-leaning members of the GOP would lose all their power.
I notice that you don't say who you like to support in the primaries.
Do you ever vote anti-incumbent yourself?
Why would they need a Dem to chair the committees when the RINOs can do it for them almost as reliably?
