I would differ. The strongest force in the Culture of Mexico is one's family. By becoming citizens, they will be able to sponsor parents and get them on SSI, SDI, Medicare, Section 8 Housing, food stamps, free medical etc, the whole raft of goodies.
I would be surprised and frankly disappointed if they didn't do that.
