There is one thing like that in the world called "The Business Roundtable" which seems to fit the bill where basically the heads of huge businesses around the world get together and discuss things like foreign affairs, current events and so on

I remember reading about the various groups like The Business Roundtable, Trilateral Commission, Bilderbergers, CFR, World Bank and so on in "The People's Almanac #3" that came out in 1981 or so and I copied the article. I might have it somewhere. It is a bit dated but it sure can explain a lot and makes you really "go hmmmm...." I can't find the book at my library anymore though although I did manage to score the first two in my personal library.
