Nothing about badges in the article I can see, though it's not comprehensive and badges or hats for dhimmis would be consistant with medieval Islamic thought and dress.

This isn't on the Persian news sites.
Persians would be among the first to condemn this.
I think it may end up being an MEK created story or just some angry ex-pat's words picked up by the media.
I'm trying to follow-up on it.
