Most of the students in the class tested positive and were given antibiotics, free of course. Every body was cured thanks to the quick res ponce of the local health department.

A course of antibiotics for TB is nothing like taking them for strep throat or a simple bladder infection. It is a 9 month long course of treatment and the drugs are much nastier than amoxicillin or something like that. TB drugs have numerous unpleasant side effects. I feel very sorry for the students placed in that situation.

Yep, this happened a couple of years ago. The department of health guy stated on the news that people exposed would be on antibiotics for months.
