Grow up. You know the point. I'm not here defending Pat Robertson. I'm here to say I'm SICK and tired of ignorant rubes on this Forum sumbitching Christianity and belittling it. I won't stand for it.
God DOES speak to people. He has spoken to me......verbally, audibly.....only twice in my 50 years. Very innocuous little things, too; nothing earthshaking to anyone else. To make fun of this just chaps my hide.
There's a huge difference between that and the large-scale gloom and doom that Robertson has, repeatedly declared he has heard.
Still small voices I tend to believe in. But those who predict wholesale doom -- especially those with with political agendas, whether Pat Robertson or Al Gore -- better have one heck of a good track record, if they're going to duck satire barrage.
Remember, when God sent Moses to Pharaoh, he gave him a few tricks to show off with, as well.
Your zeal for The Lord and what's true and right warms my heart tremendously.
