You offered, "The right to life is not at issue here." If you exclude the very reason why the killing of these unborn alive children is being opposed, then you have framed the debate to accomplish ONLY what you desire as the outcome and we have nothing to discuss. Your immaturity is showing, big time.
She doesn't necessarily have the right to destroy the embryo, if we're assuming that the embryo is a person. She does have the right to cease the violation of her body through a termination of the pregnancy. It just so happens that, at the current state of technology, an embryo cannot survive without the woman's body, but that could change in the future.
I'm wondering why you keep referring to the victim in abortion as 'an embryo'? While the new human is at this age you cite, the female isn't even likely to be aware of being pregnant. Are you trying to sneak in a strawman such as equating contraception with an act that doesn't involve another innocent person?
Nope, no strawmen. I use embryo primarily because that's the developmental stage when most abortions occur (first couple months).
Wonder why they don't see it?
Some people can't read straight when it comes to Hillary; all they see is red. Look at all the "pro-life" people here who say it would have been fine if she had been aborted. ;)
Molly Pitcher is famous for practicing the art of abortion during the Revolutionary War. Maybe this is what Hillary is thinking of? :)
2) We have a right to murder unborn children.
3) God gives us the right to murder unborn children.
Anyone who thinks like this isn't fit to be dog-catcher, never mind president.
I'm a nutjob! 8-)
Give it a chance. We're really not as crazy as we seem. Really.
Just as she's trying to make overtures to Christians, this comes out, confirming to all who are paying attention just who she really is.
What if unborn babies had the right to decide whether or not mothers live?
I think then, there would be a major shift in perspective.
