Using the term "Bushbot" in my opinion makes the user of said word appear somewhat dumb. JMHO. Use the term sparingly if you are trying to make a serious point.

I agree.

When using a derogatory term aimed at an audience, one should not be surprised to find the intended point is not getting across.

I find it an interesting exercise to substitute the literal (or intended figurative) definition of a word into a sentence to see how that affects the communication of a thought. In this case:

"...Presidente Jorge Arbusto is acting decisively to protect US oil interests, but can't quite claim the same with regard to the borders of his own country? Is it sinking in yet Bushbots you idiotic, stupid, unthinking, moronic, intellectually deprived, easily led sheeple?"

Perhaps Rockit didn't intend to use it that way, but that is the common meaning of the term, at least on Free Republic (and I would guess, DU).
