He has done considerably more in addressing the border situation and has been working on it for months.

Same BS, different day.

Hm. That comment was definitely socialist on that other thread.

There are people who think that profits are an INHERENTLY bad thing...personally, I like it when someone makes profits supplying me with something I need and want. I suppose it would be nice to get it for free, but...being a realist (and therefore...a conservative) I know nothing is free...but hey...if I get something worthwhile for me and have to pay for it, then...that is a GOOD thing, isn't it?

"I've read it thrice and I'm not sure what he's driving at either, but I suspect he's insinuating that Bush only acts to protect Big Oil (a handy bugaboo)."

Yea, that's what I read too. Now, someone please tell me what the difference is between a DUer who screams " oil crony Bush bad" and a FReeper who screams "oil crony Bush bad"??

The insults people throw at Bush supporters is getting old, and driving people away from this website.

Hey buddy!

The "Bushbot" term is used pretty freely on FR by some conservatives and libertarians. I generally don't like what the term implies, but as another freeper has as his tagline: "If my words enrage you, you are too easily controlled by words"

While it is somewhat ironic that OcciPet is involved since ol' Hammer was a commie, it's the business protection aspect that caught my eye. In Bush's worldview, it's a world of business and sovereign nations only serve to restrict business operations. Who needs borders? Free trade and open borders for all!

Oh, they'll still get investment. American and European firms will still grab the tiger's tail with the idea that "the tiger has just eaten, so he won't eat us". Fools one and all. This has happened repeatedly since the end of WWII.

I'm truly disappointed in the lack of insight here, people. What's happening to the keen intellect I expect here? I give up. See #47 for the explanation of my first comment.

I guess the big diff between being called a bushbot by DU or FR is to that depth they believe you've drunk the kool-aid, and if you can recover. In other words, how much in lock-step you've fallen. Me? I tend to meander more often than march these days.

seizing Occidental's facilities is probably acting to protect the intrests of free human beings anywhere....Considering the purpose of that companies existance.

It is kind of ironic that the company of that Communist/Socialist/Gore supporting Armand Hammer is being seized by the very sort of anti freedom types he supported all those years.

[What's happening to the keen intellect I expect here? I give up.]

Don't come here insulting our President and his supports, and then tell us we are lacking intellect.

I hope when you say, "I give up" you are leaving for good.

One of the biggest black eyes the Bush legacy will have is the way we fell asleep while Chavez turned Latin America communist/socialist. Why do we wake up only after disaster strikes?

And you have visited Bush's inner thoughts to acquire this information to which you speak???? Come on guy, anyone who starts a sentence like that can't be taken seriously. Seems to me that you are just burning some time playing on the Internet.

"Without foreign investment, expertise and leadership, they'll never get out of the stone ages, especially with their vast supply of stones."

Well, that never was one of the primary goals of communism, was it?

Using the term "Bushbot" in my opinion makes the user of said word appear somewhat dumb. JMHO. Use the term sparingly if you are trying to make a serious point.
