“I believe you have a political agenda that results in your suffering from the erroneous delusion that your conviction is a ‘Red Badge of Courage’ instead of ‘The Scarlet Letter’ that it actually is,” Kehoe said. “You have made arrogant and self-righteous statements of justification. You have demonstrated by word and action your obvious disdain for your victim and the laws of the state of New York.”

Kehoe is an elected REPUBLICAN judge, as if you couldn't tell.

Here's one prisoner who should be served eggs for breakfast, eggs for lunch, and eggs for dinner. EVERY DAY!

Leonard Egert said he’d never seen a first offender get the maximum sentence on a misdemeanor...

First time for everything. I bet you told your client thought he was going to get a fine at most. I bet he's real surprised.

Excellent outcome for an eco-terrorist crime. It is wonderful to read when one of these nut cases is locked up. Way to go Judge Kehoe. We need many more judges like him.

I hope the guards tell the other inmates that this little twig boy flipped a booger on Suge Knight.

On what are you basing that? This case, in which he seems to have applied the law correctly, or something else?

Hardly; if the guy showed no remorse, it was his job to lock him up as long as he thinks best (and the law allows).

Lobo - Me And You And A Dog Named Boo

I remember to this day the bright red Georgia clay,
How it stuck to the tires after the summer rain.
Will power made that old car go;
a woman's mind told me that it's so.
Oh, how I wish we were back on the road again.

chorus:
Me and you and a dog named Boo,
Travellin' and livin' off the land.
Me and you and a dog named Boo,
How I love bein' a free man.

I can still recall the wheat fields of Saint Paul,
And the mornin' we got caught robbin' from an old hen.
Old MacDonald made us work,
but then he paid us for what it was worth,

Another tank of gas and back on the road again.

I'll never forget that day we motored stately into big L.A.
The lights of the city put settlin' down in my brain.
Though it's only been a month or so,
that old car's buggin' us to go.
You gotta get away and get back on the road again.

Ward Churchill will be speaking on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene Thursday, May 18.

Ward will be raising money for the "radical environmentalists and eco-anarchists" who are in jail for arson, etc...

The event will be "a fundraiser for the accused eco-prisoners ..."

Sounds like the judge made a good call with the sentence. I have issues with ecoterrorists. I have reason to believe that my own younger brother, who recently left home and moved to another city a couple hours away, may have some interest in joining Earth First. On top of his old bed, I discovered an Earth First bumper sticker and two or three issues of the "Earth First Journal." Now, he may have just been given them by a friend or something, but that's why I hope to get the opportunity to talk to him about it in private when he comes back home in a couple weeks. I even printed out a very informative article on just how violent and twisted that group really is, which I can give to him to read. I just hope I can get to him before he does something stupid like this nut job did.

He asked Kehoe to give Durand time to make arrangements for his pets before beginning his sentence

Nice parting shot. I like the way this judge works.

Um,

So is it okay to trespass and destroy other people's property?

Give me your address and let me come over and trespass on yours, and destroy or steal your stuff okay?

Sounds like you've been reading (swallowing) PETA propaganda.
