I checked other articles by this author, and you're right, it's a spoof, thank God. She knows this sort of person quite well. I know a few, too. Related to a few, actually, which is why I immediately went off about it.
She's as good as Jamie Glazov's "Dr. Progressive," as far as mocking the left. Of course, being a refugee from the USSR, Glazov would know, too.

That would be a relief if people weren't really like what she spoofed in the article. I know people who really do think this way.

I don't. But since you ask, he is a good progressive because he criticizes a society that gives him the freedom from draining routines and leisure time to sit around and think up everything he hates about it. He has reaped incredible cultural and political rewards from a society that he condemns. This is what a true progressive is all about.
