My comment is simple. It means punishing the party which is closest to conservatives' positions is INSANITY.
The howls around here are NOT for more "effective" leadership. A FR poll shows 10% hate Bush and 20% want to turn the whole shootin match over to the RATs.
The first immigration bill which passed 55-40 CLEARLY shows that the problem here is NOT the GOP it is and always has been the Party of Treason. Expecting 100% agreement within the GOP is an absurd expectation. This is not a totalitarian organization.
Using your logic the RATs aren't so bad since 8 of them also voted against it.

Right now, there are republicans that where the R on the back of their name the way someone would wear a NY Yankee's ballcap - which is to say, that just because you are wearing the cap, doesn't mean you play for that team, or even root for them.
