We've participated in other threads, probably you just didn't see it.
yw.
When there were stats, it was something like 30,000 posts per day, and 400-500 threads. Not including the newbie list, about 100 per day. Then there's the classic, 'hey mod, are you sleeping? Didn't you see this post #1267?' abuse report.
"Of course you must realize though. I can't do much two ways about it. The only vote I have that counts is in Presidential elections, because I am from New Jersey. My congressmen is a republican , Mike Ferguson"
You got it better than I do!
I live in Connecticut.
My Congressman is liberal Republican Christopher Shays.
I have Dodd and Lieberman for Senators (Lieberman is at least right on the war).
For me to vote Republican requires me to vote for high tax, pro-choice liberals...it requires me to violate my pro-life principles just to cast a caucus vote.
It's very hard to do, but I do it so that the Republican caucus, in general, can move the ball forward.
However, with the Miers fiasco, my mind was set: if the Republicans with the majority I give them (voting for a candidate who violates my principles) won't use their CAUCUS to give me certain pro-life votes on the Supreme Court, then there's no reason for me to vote at all. Chris Shays is not distinguishable from a Democrat. His only usefulness is as a caucus vote which helps determine who the Speaker is. That's it. That's all.
I understand the BorderBots here.
There where I was about Miers. If the national party itself won't use its majority to do something necessary on a non-negotiable moral issue, there is no point voting for them at all.
Had Miers prevailed, I would have stayed home.
She didn't, so I'm grimly voting for Shays, even though he doesn't deserve it.
But if my issue was the border, and not abortion, I'd stay home.
We've got to stop pushing people into the stops here.
Just give the BorderBots their sea-to-sea fence and we all live.
"President Bush signed a $70 billion tax-cut package Wednesday..."
Wellll, Scripture indicates God will not forgive those who take THE FOR REAL FINAL ACTUAL MARK OF THE BEAST. Yet without it, no one will be able to buy or sell.
It's exciting and sobering to be in the era that sees so many such prophecies come to pass before our eyes in the daily news.
Thankfully, God is God and always will be God and has it all under His control.
But we will be held accountable for standing up for those values God cherishes . . . for loving what He loves and hating what He hates. Thankfully, that's pretty easy on FR. But we need to do more of it better out in the world where the real rubber meets the real road.
While I can appreciate your position, the vocal "leadership" of the democrat party is (1) LYING about the President; (2) LYING about the NSA and its programs of surveillance of terrorist; (3) Celebrating the leaking of classified information by the CIA to MSM reporters; (4) Putting partisan politics ahead of national security and the well-being of our troops.
I'm not calling for them to be prosecuted in military tribunals for treason and then executed, but several of the so-called leaders in the democrat party have identified themselves as the enemy at this point when they ally themselves with Saddam Hussein and the Iranian lunatic president.
The reason for the southern focus is the 2 million plus folks that sneak in undetected, which is far less then the few thousand that sneak in undetected up north. The biggest hole gets the most attention.
Couple that with the fact that plain old illegal aliens kill more Americans then terrorists and put a much greater economic burden on our country then terrorism does, and you have a very good reason to focus on the southern border.
But, yes, I agree, we can not lose sight of the other 3 borders will trying to contain the southern border.
Just another juicy bite of steak, baby!
Facts don't matter. /sarc
The LA Times article specifically mentioned the Dem primary between Filner vs Vargas in the 51st district. Filner is considered part of the Waxman-Berman Jewish-Black Dem machine. The new Latino activists have broken with that alliance, as evidenced by Villaraigosa's win in LA.
The old Chinese proverb certainly rings true; conservatives generally think they are the big losers from amnesty, but the Jewish-Black block have just as much to lose to the new Latino majority.
For sure I'd like to see the Palistinian aid go immediately to $0.00.
My ASSUMPTION is that the puppet masters are demanding certain . . . actions . . . in order to allow . . . certain folks continued . . . breathing habits. The puppet masters have been out for Israel's demise for several centuries as I understand it. Certainly for all of our era.
I agree, basically about foreign aid. But the thing with Mexico is more than suicidal and outrageous.
That's the dirty little secret. Despite the fact that one out of every three Dem votes is black or hispanic, the Dem party is run by a thin veneer of white liberals. Once the black and hispanic voters start clamoring for more authority and control of the party, including more candidates for state-wide and national elections, the white liberals will be forced from power with nowhere to go. I remember what happened to nine termer incumbent Stephen Solarz (D,NY) when the compostion of his district changed to mostly Puerto Rican voters. He lost in the primaries to Nydia Velazquez. She's still there.
Both parties on the westside are multi-culti dominated... big time.
Uh...put down the bong and back away slowly.
President Bush only won by a few million popular votes and it went from Florida to Ohio to decide the outcome.
For example, if 80% of the new Hispanic voters are Ohioans, we're in deep doo-doo.
I'm ALL for getting rid of Filner. I recall him from his student days and he was a radical Leftie back then too.
