Corruption free?
Torie, my hometown is awash in corruption: San Diego.
Too many posts to respond to individually, so I'll make this simple point. To those of you who believe that the immigration bill will be the death knell for the GOP, I think you should revise your counts. There are not enough of you to hand the majority to the Democrats, which is EXACTLY why trolls have come to Free Republic to recruit MORE of you. If they had the numbers they need, why would they bother coming here?
I am hoping that someone will describe the pulled post that someone wanted to tease me with, or maybe the mods can restore it so I can have a look?

While you're patching the dike the real problem is the dam.
LA is a pretty clean town. Heck, outside auditors are all over the place. They are counting the number of paper clips, and the amount of unexplained paper clip inventory loss, over at the LA Unified School District, as we speak.

No, it just identifies those that have no sense of history, no knowledge of demographic forecasting and no understanding of human nature.
History teaches us from '65 & '86 what will happen if we legalize illegals; demographics tell us that Hispanics will become a majority within a few generations (currently 14%); human nature reveals that people will raid the government purse if there aren't any constraints.
All this feel good sentiment about SC justices, the WoT, etc, etc ignore the ticking time bomb. At this point, no bill is better than this bill if it includes amnesty.
What about the annual/on-going corruption in the PD...all the way to the top?

LOL! Yes, it does feel good to know that we are seating conservative justices who will play a significant impact on this nation for many years to come...rather then throwing that away over one issue.

Isn't that from corrupt docs, rather than corrupt government? I don't know about the LAPD story. I do know Bratton has a very good reputation, and I would be amazed that he is corrupt. What does corruption mean? Are the cops taking bribes, stealing drug stashes, doing black bag jobs, or what?
They get no such benefit from me. They celebrate the leaking of national security secrets such as NSA's surveillance of terrorists' communications and tip off the enemy that we are tracking them. They LIE about what that program entails and accuse the President of breaking the law, knowing full well that he will not defend the program in detail so as not to further endanger our operatives. They undermine our troops and go out of their way to embolden the terrorists who would attack them. The MSM and the Democrat Party ARE helping our enemy and wishing death and mayhem on American military personnel. Don't delude yourself that they aren't.
Stay away from the 7/11 microwave burritos. Unlike the illegals these take a quick trip south of the border...
