Who made a death threat?
So, apparently you are not working to help for a GOP victory.
Just how will the democrat congress help any of our conservative agenda items?
Just how much damage was done by the prior democratic imposed rulings - such as the destruction to the intelligence agencies, "the created wall" between the agencies, the destruction of the military.
Just how much easier will it be to get conservative judges nominated and input into the Supreme Court with no majority in congress? We can't get anything through now - how is a democratic congress going to input good judges?
If I weigh the two options - democratic congress or holding with the GOP majority - I see no comparison.
Your method means we are always having to play catch up and never get used to being the ones in power. Your way allows for much more committee leadership positions that trail off into future GOP terms.
Your way allows for increased power base building among the already intrenched democrats. Your way allows for more democrat infiltration into every phase of government.
Just how is that effective for conservatism?
Seems that is going backwards to me. And, it seems that means you are working against us - not for us.
You've accused me, several times now, of seeking out liberal spew to form my opinions. Nothing could be farthest from the truth. When I presented an example of a conservative whose opinions conservatives value, you degrade her as well.
We don't agree on this issue. Calling me names or label people with whom you disagree is done to marginalize and silence their valid opinions.
MY EYES!!! MY EYES!!!
do you also understand that it is correct?
Maybe so, but what of it? XA effectively wiped out what may have been a good posting history with those comments in one fell swoop.
So if he's no troll, how does that now help him, his cause, FR or this discussion?
Answer, of course: it doesn't.
"There's a difference between compromise and selling out America and Americans."
I strongly agree. Certain principles have no margin for compromise.. Protecting America and it's citizens is one of them.
Good. Just try to keep from miffing yourself from now on though. ROFL
The Republicans can't afford to lose any seat regardless of your litmus test.
The sycophancy on this thread makes me want to hurl.
That means avoiding you I guess.....
Or giving you heck...
One or both.
I'm with you there.
I heard once that Rove's goal is not to turn every Democrat into a Republican, but to completely do away with the idea of a Democrat. Everyone will be 'conservative' under one big umbrella, just different "degrees" of conservative.
Which would explain why some things the president has done will anger the hard right, and most things will anger the hard left.
Not sure how I feel about this goal. Of course who wouldn't want to completely do away with the concept of a Democrat, but do we really want to spread conservatism so thin that it encompasses everything to the left of the middle?
I had a problem with the one he withdrew. Apparently so did many other Americans.
The ones he actually had confirmed haven't been in long enough to know whether they will be better or worse than the ones we already have.
Would you have a problem with those a President Gore or Kerry or Hillary, et al, would appoint?
Probably. But I don't advocate electing them. Never have, never will. AND never advocated that anyone stay home or any other advice on voting.
I merely state the obvious, Republicans cannot be relied upon to deliver or even fight the good fight all the time.
Some people sell fear, I'm not buying.
Glad you like it, however i am serious as aheart attack in my convictions.
You can't avoid me. I'm sacred. And a cow.
Oh, and it's Bush's fault ;)
