Thousands of illegal immigrants cross the U.S-Mexico border into Arizona every day.
To better yourself, for your family, and for a better life, says Alfonso Miramontez, whos from Los Mochis, Sinaloa, a town that's about an 8-hour bus ride from Nogales.
Miramontez says, once he heard the U.S. might be sending National Guard troops to the border, he immediately headed north, and was planning to illegally cross into Arizona Monday night.
Itll now be much harder to cross through the desert," says Miramontez, but the Army (National Guard) on the border wont stop me.
Like Miramontez, Eduardo Reyes, an immigrant from Mexico City, just arrived to the border town of Nogales, Sonora with the intention, of crossing into Arizona and finding work in the United States, says Reyes.
Miramontez says, Its bad in Mexico. Its also hard because the U.S. soldiers are fighting wars in other countries, and now, many are going to be along the border. When I cross, it scares me and makes me think twice.
Miramontez adds, I just want to be happy, and Ill try to work in the U.S., no matter what happens.

I don't think they'll actually have weapons, wouldn't want to provoke an incident.

We once had alot of Military units doing work on the border. However, in the late 90's on a JTF6 Mission near Brownsville TX some Marines got shot at and responded.
I doubt our politicians will want us acting like the Military on the border. Who knows.

---GONZALES: Well, I don't -- there will be a sign of force that will be visible along the border. Clearly, the National Guard troops will be there to support the work of the Border Patrol officers. They're there to provide a supportive role. They will not be engaged in law enforcement.---
What a sorry joke.
The State Department is doing some underhanded deal to give money to the Palestinians, in spite of all their rhetoric to the contrary. I have supported the President wholeheartedly, but it's always something with the Bushes. With his father it was the turnabout on the assault gun ban and now his son on the immigration issue. These are not small things.

I suppose if it makes them happy to rob banks.
BTW, if he's not afraid to try to cross our border with the *army* there, why would we imagine he wouldn't try to do whatever else might make him happy, regardless of police etc? This does not sound like ideal citizen material to me.

So this points again that the first thing we need to do is to SECURE THE BORDERS. And to think the Senate, the chamber of sober second thought actually REJECTED border security and APPROVED amnesty. Man, when I'm having a bad day, I could use some of whatever those senators are passing around so they can deny reality.

AND they won't be NEAR the border!

"Estimates for the first 3 months of 2006 have approximetely 470,000 illegal aliens crossing through Arizona. We'll be looking at between 1.5 and 2 million coming through Arizona this summer as they try to beat the enforcement on the border. Residents of Arizona are going to take it in the shorts on this one and our lovely governor is going to help the illegals as much as she can.AWB"
____________________________________________________________
To add insult to injury....take your number....and when these people are granted a "pathway to citizenship".... you can add between 16 - 32 family members for EACH one that gets Amnesty. Take the low number.....2,000,000 x 16 = 32 million new "citizens" that will be made legal....just from those crossing into AZ this summer.
....and the b-bots actually worried about a few Conservative Republicans that might sit this election out.....
Who is selling WHO out here?
Ask yourself that.
This is why this "earned path to citizenship" is such a damned SCAM. If I were a b-bot...I'd be crapping my pants knowing the anointed one is pushing for this SPECIFICALLY!
As I mentioned before... big effing deal if 500,000 or even 1 million conservatives sit the next one out....
With the stroke of a pen, if Amnesty or any form of it is passed into law...that is the end of the Republican party for the foreseeable future.
