LOL! Actually, I do not have a huge problem with mistresses. Well, I think adultery is very wrong, but it's not high on my list of things to get worked up over. Choking one's mistress is a bigger deal, but I can even overlook that if one seems contrite enough.

My interest in the race is because I think it could be far more competitive than it's been given credit, especially if Sherwood loses the nomination. At the least, this supports what I've contended that people are understating the impact of political scandals, and how they can make 'counter-partisan' things happen at the polls.

That being said, GWB took 56.4% in 2000 and 60.0% in 2004, so it's definitely an uphill climb for the Democrat.
