--- Chief, re-read post & thread and identify sick comments and disprove blackmail as a theory to explain the President's behavior.
Also, come up with a better explaination of why the President is surrendering the border to Vincente.

>>>
.....review President George W. Bush's domestic spying program..<<< Since it isn't a "domestic spying" program, the review should be unnecessary.
We're looking at al Qaeda and traitors....and the traitors pushing for an investigation should be put under surveillance - big time!

Here you go for some theories besides your tacky one:
1. The President feels that this is the best way to solve the problem for the country. It would be extremely expensive to deport all of these people, and even if e had the money, how are you going to find them...go house to house demanding to see people's papers?
2. The President has more to consider with the immigration problem than just what is on the surface. The elections in Mexico and their outcome, along with potential worse problems on the border if a Marxist is elected and actively encourages border jumping with malicious intent. Right now we have enough of a problem; imagine what would happen if we had undercover Mexican soldiers and revolutionaries coming across with the funding of their government.
3. Chavez is actively backing the Mexican Marxist candidate. Try to imagine Mexico as not a problem but an active enemy, in league with Castro and Chavez.
4. Mexico ha a large supply of natural gas. We would like to continue to be able to buy it.
5. The immigration laws are so screwed up that unless we get a comprehensive reform bill passed, all of the rhetoric in the world will not make the Border Patrol able to get a handle on the situation.
There. Lots of reasons for the President's position, and none of them tacky.

I don't know if you've noticed this or not, but this isn't an immigration thread.
Why not try being totally beside the point in every discussion? Hmm?

the program is worthless and we have moved on to other things. Let them look at the waste product. That statement is not only cynical, but flawed as well. There are millions upon millions of phone calls made across the US. A terrorist knowing that, some or even all are monitored, does not mean somebody is listening. Terrorists will still risk it. And thus the program still has value.

Either that or Vincente has some real good pictures of Laura I never heard anything so ridiculous, even as a joke. Just when I think FR Bush-bashers can't get any sleazier, you do. Really, that's all you can think of? I hope wallowing in crud keeps you warm at night.

I think you should focus on the part of my statement that says 'OTHER THINGS'. There is no value in a program that the enemy is aware of.
