My husband is thisclose to getting a dish. He is sick to death of our comcast constantly going in and out. It's pushing him over the edge. LOL
I've heard pros and cons about the dish,.....
There are "cons" to having a dish? Rain fade is very rare (in spite of what desperate cable companies say) and I've had one for 10 years.
Oh, my ISP is a satellite too! (Wildblue)
THE PRESS CONF IS OVER!
I use DIRECTV...it's great except in a HARD rain...
HOOAH, Tony!
You were absolutely BRILLIANT!
Helen just got slapped again, by tell Tony that that is not what he asked, then Tony said, that is just what he asked...
slapped down old hag as he was getting ready to leave
I've had Dish Network for over seven years. I've had only two failures (both hardware) in that entire time. I absolutely LOVE it.
You will lose satellite reception during heavy storms. It serves as a last minute warning.
We bought a Dish way back in 1997 and Dish Net has been great!! A year or so ago, they even wrote us a letter telling us that our old receiver would antiquated and would soon stop working so we needed to get a new receiver. They sent us the latest, new one for FREE. All we had to do was return the old one in a postage-paid box. Now I have all the fancy bells and whistles....rewind live t.v., and DVR too.
I heard them too, but to date I've not been disappointed. Living in a rural area as I do, cable was unavailable. The cost per month is $54.
We have a "Dish" satellite dish. We are generally pleased but lose reception in very heavy precipitation. Also, over several years the trees in the neighbor's yard have grown into the dish's line of sight and when the when blows hard, they cause an interrupted picture. We can cut down our trees, but not our neighbor's! 8(
