It isn't the word or phrase that offends, but who says it. Being offended by terms like "tar baby" and "niggardly" is just a tool used to silence those you don't like. The question is whether such an attempt is going to be against Tony.
LOL!!!

He's been around here long enough to know the true definition of a "racist" these days:
someone who's winning an argument with a liberal about anything connected to race.
If the subject isn't connected to race, then you'restart called a "nazi"
Just bumpin' the thread. Missed it. I've been busy mowing yesterday and today (which I started at 8:00am this morning). Taking a break at the moment, catching up on news.
your "task" seems like mine. Aren't big yards fun?
New Bush spokesman chokes up discussing battle with cancer
AFP via Netscape news
"I had cancer last year," he said in response to a reporter's question.
"It's going to sound stupid, and I'll be personal here, but having gone through this last year ... is the best thing that ever happened to me," he said, tearing up on the podium as he recounted that a relative of his died of colon cancer years ago.
Snow, who hailed the "wonderful" medical breakthroughs in cancer treatment that allowed him to make a complete recovery, said his physician gave him a clear bill of health before he began his job as Bush's chief spokesman this month.
"You don't have to worry about getting cancer -- just heartbreak talking to these people," he said his doctor told him, referring to the White House journalists.
Snow, until last month a radio talk show host, was recruited to replace former spokesman Scott McClellan, in a bid to help smooth the sometimes tempestuous relations between the White House and the media.
Thank you so much!
I had the same thing happen to me. I was wondering what was so offensive about my post until I realized the FReeper was talking about the numbskull caller on the radio and not my post.
I don't mind it a bit actually. It helps having a large riding mower. :) It's surprising what one can accomplish in about 4 hours time. (which is how long a full tank of gas lasts).
You are more than welcome. Tony did great.
"It isn't the word or phrase that offends, but who says it."
You got that right. You could even be a former klansman saying white n----- and not offend if you are on the left side of the aisle.
Thanks for the great work and the above post.
For the record, I think he said "heartburn" versus heartbreak" but I could be wrong. When I watch the replay, I'll double check.
Great minds and such.
He did say heartburn.
That was what was in the copy, however.
Again, this is AFP.
My buddy has a Grasshopper and I will say that even after a tank of gas I still found myself wanting to mow more grass just so I could ride it around somemore!
1) Do a Google search for Real Media Player. Select one of the links to go to.
2) Use their download button to double-click on. When a window comes up asking whether you want to install/save the file, select 'install'.
3) The application should be installed on your hard disk. An icon should be placed on your desktop. Clicking on this icon will open Real Player.
4) If you go to a site that offers Real Media video files, you can save them to a folder on your hard disk, or to your desktop. Then, simply double-clicking these files will open them in Real Player.
NOTE: These files may be very large. Once you've viewed them it's wise to delete them or else you'll eventually fill up your hard disk and Windows will become very slow.
I remember Tony telling us that relative that died of cancer was his mom. I think he said she died in 1972.
