It's been that way for a long time.

During CA's Prop 187, and after the Democrat Judge overturned the will of California voters..

There was a curious rift in the Prop 187 (pro) movement. Some were for a comprehensive approach, and another, wanted to see all Mexicans deported. Now hold on. They said they wished to see all "illegal" Mexicans deported.

That's not true. That's not what they were really "for".

And since those days, the latter group has increased in volume. The adherents to this strident philosophy can rationalize all they want (and they do) about what they think they are doing.

But the latter group has been taken over by those with an agenda which some would find quite shocking, IMHO.

Such stridency does not resonate well with the American Population. And this latter group has been sounding more like the feminists, homosexualists, and racists -- same one-note charlies.

So, I would hazard to suggest here, that what these so-called immigration reformists are actually supporting is a backlash. In that Americans will decide FOR something like President Bush's proposal. They will not decide FOR the strident one-note charlies.

I've often asked myself if the "leaders" of the one-note Charlies aren't instead actually FOR open borders.

During Prop 187, there was a curious group (FAIR) who were angling for exactly this position. It seems some who came out of the 187 core, have cottoned to FAIR.

I still have a PRESS RELEASE. CA Republicans made moves to address the MOTOR VOTER fraud. CA Democrats slapped it down handily. Where was this "group" then? Very, very silent. And calling Republicans "spineless". Ad nauseum blather.

I think there are some very fine and decent people caught up in the "strident, one-note Charlie" movement, and haven't a clue as to how it will all assuredly play out. I think these people realize how bad the illegal situation is on so many levels. But I do not think they comprehend a whole lot beyond that.

I hear ya...yesterday a couple of press releases from FAIR were posted as threads. Essentially, they were ripping up the President's speech before he even gave it. A typical dimmocrat, liberal, ploy...

We have a winner.

Stupidest statement ever made on FR.

Put the bottle down and sleep it off.
