Bush is not a rat President. I happen to agree with his plan, although I would prefer to see more numbers on the border. Protecting or borders is #1, but what is the solution to the 11 million illegals in the country. How are we going to deport all those people? Our legal system provides for due process, and any illegal rounded up would have the right a hearing. This process can drag on for some time. Where are we going to incarcerate those people in the meantime.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but frankly I am tired of one issue voters that thing that everyone that doesn't agree with them on a single issue is a RINO or RAT.
Except -- Bush has proven over and over again that domestically, he's no conservative.
Your 'one issue' complaint seems specious, considering we're talking about the final straw that breaks the camel's back.
The ones that scare me are the "I back the Prez no matter what he does". That's a real independent thinker . . .
"but what is the solution to the 11 million illegals in the country?"
not my problemo...
when someone breaks into your home, do you say, "heck since you're here, ya might as well stay?"
you might, I won't!
they got here...they figured out how to get here;
let them figure out how to go home!
there are planes, trains & buses leaving here evvvvvery day!
One way promote voluntary return of illegals is to bar relatives of those who have entered this country illegally, even if at a later date they secure legal documentation, from gaing entry into this country. Many of those who entered illegally would undoubtedly leave this country to reunite with their family.
Making life in the United States less profitable for illegals would be a great encouragement for these people to return to their native lands voluntarily.
" How are we going to deport all those people? "
This has been addressed countless times on these threads. It's really very simple.
If you enforce the existing laws against hiring illegals then they will have fewer and fewer opportunities to find work.
After all, work is what they came here for, right?
As time goes on, they deport themselves. This, along with beefing up border security would solve about 95% of the problem. You can't solve all of it because no system will be perfect, you just have to get it down to a manageable level.
Make it hard to live in the U.S. being illegal and they will deport themselves.. You need a job and a place to stay/hide.. Easy to do.. Also; make it, cost you, to hide the illegals.. Quite simple really.. Pretty soon the illegals will find a way to get back into Mexico all by themselves, like they got here...
Could be a lot of non latin americans will go to Mexico too.. not all illegals are from South and Central America.. Make it COST the employers, the property managers, and real estate agents they make it possible to LIVE here.. and the illegals will slink back across the border.. Make it cost also the reletives (here now and legal) that hide them.. BINGO problem solved....
This plan will NOT be executed.. because Bush WANTS multi million new democrats to enliven the democrat party.. The democrats have been aborting their next generation for decades.. WHY is that?.. WHy indeed..
