--- Build this & Bush's approval will jump 20 Points!---

Anyone who builds that will never get my vote. That wall/barrier is disgusting. If you are that scared then go live on Guam. You'll be safe there.

I live on a border state and we do not need that ridiculous wall in your picture. How about a first step.... enforce the CURRENT laws!

You probably do not even live in a border state yet you want Federal troops and a huge barrier built in my great state of Texas. This is a States' issue. Keep the damn federal government out of it and keep federal troops out of my State! Got it!

I am so sick of you whiners wanting that damn fence! Even with a fence you'd find something else to whine about. You far right conservatives are as whiny as moonbat liberals.

This is a States' issue.

Not real familiar with Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution, are ya?

P.S. I, too, live in a border state.

Avacado.

It's obvious you are on the wrong side of the fence/wall right now.

Here we go telling us that since we do not live on a border stat that we do not know what the He!! we are talking about. Well let me tell you what I know. The population of my Ky town is growing more Hispanic by each day. That would not bother me except that a very large majority of them do not speak English so that tells me that they did not get here with the State Department's blessing. Also, my family is exposed to people who have no records of immunization not to mention what kind of criminals are probably among us. And yes we have had murders committed by them. I agree with you that the current laws should be enforced but why should our government do it know when they have not been for 25 years? Look if you don't want a fence then you can come up here and get them yourself and take them back to their countries.

Sorry but you're wrong. Federal Borders are the responsibility of the Federal Government. This isn't a states issue.

The Safety and Security of the Country is directly a Federally Constituted Responsibility. I.e. "Provide for the common defense".

I agree with you. But please keep all of the folks that jump the border in Texas, we have enough trouble here in the big city without them sponging off of us.

" This is a States' issue."

Hogwash. Texas doesn't dictate national security to the rest of the nation.

Nobody thinks the wall is wonderful, but something has to be done. We have no control over the border and it's not 1930 with a few hundred or thousand illegals coming in to pick crops. The figure of 11 million illegals already here is usually quoted, but the truth is close to double that. Let's forget about the change in US culture, mores, laws, etc.. What about Mexico? (To take just one country affected. Given a little time, you could probably substitute every other country in South and Central America since they're all packing for the trip north.

Mexico's ingrained corruption and poverty are legendary and are getting worse as the population leaves. The billions sent home in remittances amount to more than drugs, oil, tourism, you name it. Mexico even had the gall to tell Canada to take the rest of her citizens as a cheap work force. It's nothing less than ethnic cleansing and it's despicable. Whole villages, provinces more or less deserted and Fox telling the US we should 'invest in rebuilding Mexico's infrastructure so Mexicans will want to come home'. Sounds like extortion. Just look at Fox's face and then the average illegal. The Spanish white oligarchy has finally found a way to rid themselves of native Mexican Indians and make money, to boot.

I'm as far right as they come and I don't want to see a wall go up either. Remember Reagan's famous "Tear down that wall, Mr. Gorbachev." And before someone says so, I know they were keeping people IN and not OUT. None-the-less, if we have to wall ourselves in, we are no more free, than the former East Berliners.

The answer is enforcement. I'm tired of hearing we can't send 11,000,000 illegals back. Well, not if you think of it on such a large scale. But divide that number into states, then divide again by cities, then by local municipalities and guess what, each local law-enforcement agency has only a handful of illegals to deal with. It can be done and should be done.

I said I was far right and I am. But I am not opposed to LEGAL immigration nor am I anti-Mexican. I want to see our laws enforced and respected.

I hope Congress wises up or the slogan this election may well be "It's The Border, Stupid!"
