Thats why ignorant people like you are a danger as well. You see everything in figures; rule of law means nothing, these people's(mexicans) hatred for this country, their disdain for our culture, our laws, our forefathers, our freedom, means nothing to you. I guess you would be happy in a mexican united states for our children and grandchildren. Just make sure they have money to install bars in theirs windows and doors.

Kennedy, Durban, Reid, and the rest of the pro-criminal OBL loved the swill Bush spewed last night. Hopefully, the conservatives in the House can hold the fort until we can get some pro-American Senators to help fight the OBL.

But the President told us that is not the way it is going to be. There is going to be a program of naturalization for aliens. Congress will soon pass a law detailing the procedures for naturalization. Either you operate within the framework of law or you stand outside it. We are all going to have to make a decision either we support the President and the new law or we don't support him. I support him and I will support the new law when it is passed by Congress.

There are SANE countries that will grant citizenship to those who serve in their military for a minimum of five years.

Since U. S. taxpayers are paying the costs of these Illegals, why not give them proper military housing, food, etc., and military service in Iraq would be a GREAT MOTIVATOR to learn English!

Or, does that idea make too much sense?

I remember eight months into his presidency George Bush the Younger rose to the podium and became a favorite son in an instant. He accomplished within an hour which Clinton wasn't able to do in eight very long years of denial.

Along the way I believe President Bush has met his Waterloo in that he allowed too much advice and could not draw from his own personal experience because he had none to draw from.

Not a bad man, just a man not quite up to the job which was presented to him. A job many of our presidents would not have been up to.

I am forever grateful Clinton had not been the talking head in office on 9/11, and will always be grateful it was George the Younger, however he has done all he can and he needs to move along.

I hope the next man in office will have the experience and the know-how, plus the GUTS to remediate the problem.

We cannot solve the problem of Mexico moving into the U.S.A., the problems need to be solved WITHIN Mexico so the people can remain their and develop their own land with their families who can expect to have all Americans have - health care, education, jobs, housing, and public services.

Our money would be better spent in such investment, and the work force Mexicans claim we require of them, can be monitored in a safe and sane manner with taxpayer workers who support their own residence here.

How? Take the troops out of the DMZ where they have been languishing for over 50 years - set them up to once and for all stop the crossings and then round up the illegals in the U.S. and go back to SQUARE ONE and do it the right way.

Once documented aliens are allowed into this country, the employers who take these large groups of people, must do their fair share by contributing to the taxation and submission to the government - they are no better than Fox in Mexico. People just have to regroup and insist that we all become "legal" in our dealings.

The laws are all in place as I write this - it is time to start obeying them and enforcing the ones which have been broken.

With reference to your citaton of CNN on this topic - I would not believe their weather forecasts.

They are an aging station locked into olden days with no creativity and foresight allowed with an agenda which will never work because they are playing at "overthrow of our government".

CNN has done more damage to our international reputation than any other one source, and people continue to view their house of propaganda. Disturbing!

"Why do people, even Rush, keep saying "No one is for massive deportation?" Oh really? I'd bet 75% of the Freepers are.
Let's be honest: it is, and should be, an option to be discussed and voted on."

You can add me to the 75%.

I've had my ups and downs with The President, but he lost me completely last night on this issue. I think he has more concern for the Mexicans illegally coming over here than he does for our own people, who have spoken loud and clear, and are being roundly ignored (and, no, I'm not impressed with 6000 Guard troops by the end of 2008 - particularly since they're not allowed to DO anything, sheesh).

What really frosted me was his "well, there are so many people here that enforcing the law simply won't work..." line. Oh, yeah? Well, how about if millions of us citizens stopped paying income taxes, huh? You think the government would shrug, and say: "well, all those millions of people aren't paying taxes, so we'll just let 'em get away with it." --- NOT A CHANCE.

To me, "illegal" means "illegal." I no longer know what it means to George Bush.

Frighteningly enough, from what I read yesterday, a lot of DUmmies are saying the same thing - perhaps, though, this is one of those situations where the majority of Americans are saying the same thing...

Too bad those useless suits in Washington aren't listening.

This is why we need the discussion. I don't think, to be effective, you HAVE to "round up" 11 million people. Simply deporting, say, half a million would make such a statement that many would leave voluntarily, and it would serve as a massive deterrent to many, many more THINKING about coming here.

We don't arrest all speeders, but that doesn't mean we don't arrest and try SOME.

I'm not saying get the buses and start going from town to town on a sweep - but if someone tries to apply for some Government program, or school, or needs medical care or WHATEVER, and we find out they're illegal - we arrest them and ship them out of the country.

It's gotten so backward that many thousands of illegal aliens can actually protest here for their "rights"..., while the government sits by and does nothing.

yah, I think that's a good plan. It's ridiculous that ANY "identified" illegal isn't immediately given the heave-ho.

I disagree here with many that POLITICALLY this has sunk Bush---he is way behind the wave, but still way, way ahead of the Dems. Which puts him where? on the Poseidon? :)

Cannot say I agree with you on this LS. While MOST Freepers would like to see ANY illegal back in their country of origin, we don't want to be financially penalized twice by another government program to round them up for a forced deportation.

I believe you would find strong support for shutting off the money magnet which would force many crimmigrants to return via their own volition. One year in jail for every crimmigrant hired by an employer. No anchor babies. No taxpayer funded health care. No taxpayer funded education.

Come to the US legally and MOST of us will welcome you and allow you many benefits available in the USA. Sneak across and wave your flags in our face and not speak English then access to all benefits must be cut off.

Mexico has done us far more harm than Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan put together. 3000 died on 911; I wonder how long it takes for that many people to be killed by illegals just on the roads alone? Vincente Fox is more of a threat, and is and plans to do more damage to the U.S.A. Than islamofacist nutcase.

Respectfully,
The house already came up with a perfectly acceptable solution; those opposed deserve to be called neither Republicans or conservatives.
The President is right on some things, wrong on others, just like every other human being.

"There is going to be a program of naturalization for aliens. Congress will soon pass a law detailing the procedures for naturalization."

There ARE existing programs with rules for naturalization and our government ignores them for votes. To ask for more laws, when it is obvious the ruling class ignores them if it will get them elected, is insane.

Thanks to the crimmigrants and a 100% unconstitutional federal government, we will all be forced to pay more in taxes to "fix" a problem which, had the law been obeyed, would not exist to the extent it is today.

This country is being conquered without a shot being fired.

Bush is pulling them off the Korean border right now. They are highly trained and have done a remarkable job of securing that border for more than 50 years.

If Bush were serious about defending our border he would deploy the 2nd Infantry Division on our border as he pulls them out of Korea. The border would be secure in a few weeks and the Mexican military wouldn’t be crossing the border shooting at Americans any more. You can bet the 2nd Division would see to that!
