George W. Bush ran on a temporary worker program in 2000 and in 2004, but somehow in 2006 he is betraying his base....???

Selective memory is what I have come to expect from the left, but this practice is alive and well here on Free Republic

George W. Bush ran on a temporary worker program in 2000 ...

When did I mention "temporary worker program?" Certainly not in the post you replied to and, as far as I know, this is the first time I've ever typed that phrase.

As a matter of fact, I've worked with many temporary immigrants (as I was told and as far as I know) and find them, as temporary workers, great. I don't think they are the major problem. They are certainly not at the root of my objections.

No, Mr. Bush has betrayed his base in many ways, but not in that respect. Nice straw man, however. The WH check is in the mail.

And now the practice is to promote the immolation of the GOP in order to somehow purge the party. And from the ashes a refined Conservative party will one day emerge.
