The NG ain't gonna be arresting anyone. They're only going to be used in a support capacity, nothing more. See here:

Specifically, catch the part that says:

They said the National Guard troops would not be involved in law enforcement, but would take support jobs currently held by federal agents, freeing them for front-line duty.

Terribly disapppointing, to say the least, but I'm not surprised at the wool that the Administration is trying to pull over our eyes.

I don't find that disappointing at all. If the National guard can free up Border patrol and help with logistics that will be beneficial.

In reality, I don't think he has the authority to post the NG on the borders... it was tried before and shot down. If they are there to provide support so more agents can get in the field, I think that's a clever way around that problem...

Could be wrong, but that's my two cents.

2 and 1/2 National Guard troops for every mile of border: YAH! That's gonna work.
