Busqué pero no vi un hilo de rosca ya abierto para el discurso de los tonights. Pienso que éste es el discurso más importante que el presidente hará probablemente para el resto de su término.

Here is a reason to oppose the amnesty. Do you realize there are hundreds of thousands of highly skilled temporary workers here in America already. Filling for skills shortages and allowing American companies to compete worldwide. The H-1B visa program helps US companies fill jobs, at full prevailing wages for college graduates, which helps them compete abroad while at the same time hurting the competitiveness of foreign companies by sucking away their most talented epople.

However, it looks like, these people, many of whom have been here five years will still be forced out of the country when their 7 years are up while it looks like illegals who have been here over five years will be allowed to stay.

Is this a double standard or what? Any H-1B visa holder pays the taxes any 10 illegals who have amnesty will ever pay. They all speak English already.

Unless H-1B visa holders can stay as well, what the heck is this country doing forcing the brightest people out while keping the least skilled. And what do the H-1B visa holders when they get home. They take all the new skills they learned in America as well as all the contacts they have made in the American business community and they compete against American business.
