This is not the temporary worker program we all thought we would have -- get em on the tax roll, and they must leave upon finishing...AND HOLD EMPLOYERS IN ACCOUNT...i am not disappointed.

I'm not disappointed either, I expected some [semi]tough talk, we got it. By the time Congress gets through with it, there will be so many loopholes and exemptions not many will be held accountable.

As for getting them on the tax rolls, it works both ways: They pay mininal federal/state taxes but are elligible for the EITC, food stamps, cash payments for children, SSI for qualifying extended family members, child care programs, medical benefits -- these will be the most expensive legal cheap workers in history.

All paid for by your non-smiling American Middle Class.
