A guest worker program is not even close to amnesty. And even if it was, what's your brilliant proposal to try and make it where people have a structure they have to obey to work in the country? Because it's funny, I've seen a lot of self-appointed geniuses ripping Bush and what he said tonight, but those same people don't seem to have any real life practical actionable solutions of their own. I just see a bunch of Monday morning Quarterbacks ripping what Bush said, but having no real solutions of their own. When Bush is a moron, I've called him such, but when he finally starts to get something right, it doesn't make me a "Bushbot" to say he got something right.
And you know, you guys who call people "Bushbots" truly are as annoying as liberals who call Conservatives facist nazis. Just because I don't hate all things Bush all the time doesn't make me a Bushbot. This thread has really turned childish.
Well, I'd probably propose a visa program where foreigners could come in and work, legally...I'd probably create laws which would make it illegal to come into the country illegally...And I would probably make it illegal for employers to hire illegal aliens...And, I would enforce the laws...
I believe that should solve the problem...
