"Gee, a whole 6,000 National Guard.
What a PR disaster this clueless bunch is about to perpetrate."

You borderphobic nuts are so blinded with fear that you would turn your nose up at 6,000 bodies on the border. It's shameful the way you crap all over President Bush when he is the one that brought this subject into the national dialogue and gave you a voice on the subject. It's about time you borderphobes gave credit where credit is due.

The City of Houston has 7,000 cops.

W can't assign more than 6,000 Guardsmen to a 1900 mile border?

The reason he won't assign more is because this is not a serious attempt to secure the border but a dog and pony show.

Its sad.

That's pretty funny, really. President Bush was brought kicking and screaming to the "border control" debate. His and Republican poll numbers dropping like a lead balloon, the Conservative base abandoning the party, bricks being mailed to Congress, etc., had everything to do with it.

Keep in mind that controlling the border, is different from guest worker paths to citizenship. The latter is all that he has been for.
